internal resolution = efb scale

Very few new options have been added/changed. Mostly stuff has just been moved around or renamed.

Sorry for abusing your thread, Chenquie, but I cannot make a thread myself yet. herp.
Anyway, I tried out the settings ChanDramRutnam gave him, but it's still lagging if I look anywhere else than the ground or objects that are near the camera.

PC-Specs:
Intel® Core™2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.60 GHz (4 CPUs)
3582MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GT 430, 1024 MB

Windows XP Professional, DirectX 9.0c, Dolphin 3.0

I hope that's enough, I just cant get straight 100% in places I mentioned before, perhaps you guys can give me a fitting setting, thanks. Smile

Oh yeah, I'm not such a Computer-Nerd, so ...
Is my processor good, bad, normal or whatever? I would like to know.
The only thing I know about processors is, that "quad" is good ... at least a few years ago. Dodgy

It's not a great cpu but it's good enough for this game. Your main problem is your GT 430 graphics card, the settings ChanDramRutnam gave were for someone with a very high end graphics card. You will need to lower your internal resolution to 2x and turn off SSAA. I would also advise not using widescreen hack.

I tried that out now, but it's still not constant 100% - and that on outset island.
I don't get it, when I first tried it out, ( like a year ago, same PC though ) it was just perfect,
besides on that island with the deku-like-tree ( can't remember his name to be honest )

What is going on with dolphin? I mean, it's not like that things changed too much in that year.

/edit:
Oh, and which graphic card would be perfect for Wind Waker? Perhaps I can get one of these then. Smile

Depends on the settings you plan on running it at. I would recommend a GTS 450 or higher from nvidia or a 6670 or higher from AMD for 4x IR.

Try overclocking your cpu. I have the same CPU but clocked at 3.2GHz and outset island runs at 45 fps uncapped for me, so I'm not sure what the problem is. Could you post your settings?

I heard about overclocking things like the CPU and / or the GPU, but doesn't the guarantee falls off then?
And doesn't it damages the CPU? I heard that some GPU's are MADE to be overclocked, like some NVIDIA ones,
but CPU's aswell...?
Anyway, here are my setttings:

Disable external frame buffer, slide the safe texture cache setting all the way to fast, uncheck disabled per-pixel depth, uncheck fast mipmaps, and uncheck "disable fog". Other than that your settings are fine.

Yes it does void the warranty. To me and many others that doesn't really matter since the warranty is essentially a useless sign of good faith (nobody actually uses it and most of the more common sources of damage are not covered).

Quote:And doesn't it damages the CPU?

Heat and voltage damage the cpu, not clock rate. As long as you keep the chip sufficiently cool and don't raise the voltage the lifespan of the chip won't be affected in any significant way.

Nothing can be made for overclocking, that doesn't make any sense, it doesn't work like that. What you're thinking of is factory overclocked graphics cards (cards that are already overclocked by the manufacturer).

Hmm, what I meant was, that NVIDIA made a couple of graphics cards were the warranty doesn't fall off when overclocking.
But as far as I know, there's a limit of course.

Anyway, I tried out the new settings, but it didn't changed to much. :/
Couldn't it be, that Dolphin 3.0 is the problem? I had other rev's when I played Wind Waker at 100% ( besides the special places Tongue ) Although
I can't remember what rev it was. But it wouldn't make sense to me, why would a more-bug-free version slow down my game so much?
Oh well, anyway. If anybody got a better idea, just tell me, until then I try to play on that unstable speed,
playable, but not so much enjoyable of course, hehe. If I can't fix that problem, someone has to play a little in such a zone,
else I can't continue - I hope someone is that nice and willing to do so then. Smile

/edit:
Oh yeah, totally forgot about overclocking - gotta ask my dad for that, he knows how to do that perhaps.
If he says no to that, I am probably locked to that speed.

Hi Everyone, New to the site.

I got a HIS Radeon 6770 pci-e card last week. I've played around with some of the settings and I usually get 30fps and 60vps at 98-100%. I do have slowdown when walking around towns in Wind Waker. It seems to come in a constant wave of playing 30fps to dropping down to 12-15fps then speeding back up and repeating itself. Maybe someone can recommend some settings, here are my specs:

AMD Phenom 9950 quad core 2.60 ghz
4GB DDR2 3200 ram
HIS Radeon 6770 PCI-E (Not overclocked yet, the cheaper version without iceq-x Turbo/quiet cooling fan)
52" Samsung 1080p display thru HDMI.

I've tried out widescreen and 1080p fullscreen and I still get this up and down slowup with the fps. I'm sure my specs are well beyond what I need, even though people say my processor is not the best. Any ideas?

Post screens of your settings from Dolphin and the game settings and let's see what can be done.
Maybe there's a setting wrong.

Also you could try with overclocking the CPU a little.
