Question
At times I'm getting pretty bad slowdowns in Metroid Prime and Twilight Princess (Both GC versions). Like during Flaagah battle and in some other big rooms (not as bad slowdown as in Flaagah battle) in Metroid Prime and at Northen (?) Hyrule Field in Twilight Princess. So what are the best settings? I pretty much have the default settings. Pretty much everything I have changed in the graphics settings are Backend in General tab, Scaled EFB Copy in Enchantments tab and EFB Copies (Texture <> RAM) in Hacks tab.

Here are my specs if it helps:
Core: Intel Core i5 2320 CPU @ 3.00GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
RAM: 6144MB
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GT 620 (There was update to the drivers but I'll install it later when there is someone to help me doing it correctly)
GPU RAM: 4047MB
DAC type: Integrated RAMDAC (I think my PC also has dedicated GPU, Not sure though)

I'm aiming for fast emulation that has minimal bugs/problems caused by the emulator, so graphical enchantments are not the most important.

These are really heavy games. Really, you cannot expect to run them at full speed on that hardware.

What's the biggest problem in my hardware then? Are there any settings that at least somewhat improves speed? Mostly the slowdowns come when there is a large room, many small enemies or one large enemy or boss. I also turned on the OpenMP (?) thing. It helped a little. I also changed frameskip to 1 (higher than that at least for Metroid Prime feels a little bit too much).

You need a faster processor, overclock if you can. Frameskip won't help in most cases, and OpenMP doesn't provide significant speedups (in some cases it'll just slow down a bit)... I can't say anything about Metroid Prime (I don't have that game), but at least for Twilight Princess, If you want to sacrifice accuracy for some small speed ups, you can change EFB Copies to Texture, however doing so will leave the minimap completely bugged. Keep in mind that TP forces EFB to RAM in their game INI, so, an easy way to override the enforcement would be opening your graphics config window while TP is running and setting EFB to Texture...

Hmm... I don't what setting did it, but I re-fought Flaagah and I had next to no slowdown this time.

EFB to Texture breaks all the visors in Metroid Prime, aside from the Combat Visor. Gives quite a speedup, though. :P

How about scan visor? It seems to work. Also, not sure what causes it, but sometimes doors fail to visually open (they actually open but they are displayed as closed). It's not too big of a deal as it doesn't happen that often and letting the door close and then re-opening it will fix this. However I'm still suffering some slowdowns when there are many objects on screen. Like many Beetles, Magmoor's fire and expecially the explosion animation of Shreikbats.
