Thus it is EXACTLY the same. Then there are the games that render internally at 480i @50Hz (not many) but those usually add more detail to the game (higher AA, AF and sometimes even extra effects not seen in NTSC versions)

Thank you for this fantastic emulator and for the hard work of all the developers. This forum however.. hmm.. Ok.. I'm triggered! Banned for stating they downloaded games? Seriously? What if the person owned that game? What if the person downloaded their own copy that they uploaded? Did they share a link? Did they specifically give somebody the link to that download with intent on piracy? No, I don't believe they did. I'm sorry but the rules and regulations on this forum are just... well.. completely and utterly retarded and the level of hypocrisy is beyond words. I don't believe for a damn second that a moderator or developer on this forum isn't guilty of not once downloading a "back up" of their own game. And that leads me to the next part of my rant by stating that there is actually no difference in either "ripping", or downloading a copy of your own game because either is action is apparently illegal in most western countries. "But, but.. this forum is based on US law..".. Yeah I don't give a damn as I'm from a country with somewhat of a digital freedom. So yeah.. why not just cease work on this emulator and close down the forum. I say this because the very existence of this emulator and this forum encourages people to download games that they likely have stored away in their attic. Also don't bother explaining to me about "these are our rules and regulations, either like 'em or lump 'em". I originally made an account on here to constructively help people with their emulation problems, but the attitude amongst the community and especially on the android section is just appalling. Infact, I often wonder why there is even an android section on the forum.. Rant over. Since this is apparently the North Korea of emulation forums, feel free to 03-21-2018, 11:47 AM

It's to wash our hands clean of any legal issues in any country. There aren't many, if any emulation forum that allows this for that reason.
We have no fantasy that most of our users aren't pirates. We're just covering our asses. You can suck it up and deal with it or go away. 03-21-2018, 11:59 AM
Nick Sevarge Wrote:-rant- It is a simple matter of liability. Due to our work in emulation (which is legal, though there is regional complexity in that), some companies might want us to disappear, and they have tremendously more resources than we do. So if we know about piracy within our support forum and don't do anything, it could be used against us a future lawsuit. Therefore, the rules are absolute - if someone shows evidence of piracy, you're gone. Simple as that! This is plainly stated in our rules and in the profile setup itself, and you agreed to that rule by being on this forum. That rule cannot change, so if you have an issue with it, you are welcome to leave. ![]() AMD Threadripper Pro 5975WX PBO+200 | Asrock WRX80 Creator | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 FE | 64GB DDR4-3600 Octo-Channel | Windows 11 22H2 | (details)

You'll actually find that most emulation forums don't ban people for stating they downloaded a copy of their own game. Providing a link to a download for a rom or iso image is however a different story and will most likely result in a warning or an outright ban. There is no legal reason to ban a user for stating they have/will download a copy of a game. It is an arbitrary rule on this forum that makes zero sense and leaves too much room for ambiguity. Also on a personal note Helios. I really have no idea why you prowl the android forums as most if not all of your replies are non-constructive and at sometimes just downright condescending. |
