I liked Fire Red (but maybe because it was my first). I didn't really like anything past gen III till X/Y then after Sun I got bored again, but the most I played was AS.

Crystal was my first, so it has a special place, but I think best goes to either BW or B2W2. Those are the best games in the series in multiple aspects IMO.

Gen 2 was where I played Pokemon the most. 200+ hours investing into Gold + Silver (I bought both, and I had two Game Boys). So G/S/C will always be #1 for me. However, nothing really beats TwitchPlaysPokemon :3
