no, i'm not interested to pc games. Only emulation of consoles.
For sure i think 3600X is enough to run at maximum emulators until ps2/dreamcast/Wii/Gamecube. I'n not sure if it is enough to run at high level emulators for Wii U (CEMU) and PS3 (RCPS3)... probably Cemu is OK, but RCPs3 will work better with 3700X I read... but 3600X is enough

Cemu is at best able to use 3 core, however it even says it it unstable with 2 or 3 threads. I have been able running mario kart 8 on a i7 7700hq and a i7 4790k well but shader generation is a nightmare for a while. It much worst then dolphin was in my experience. The game I try where mario kart 8, super smash bros, breath of the wild, and windwaker hd. for the most part there playable but breath of the wild need the extra performance of the i7 4790k in single thread. past 1 thread it hit or miss if it works right though. I don't have anyway experience with rcps3 though so I can't say anything on that. That said I doubt the 3700x extra cores would matter but maybe ask the rpcs3 forums.
