So I want to replay Super Paper Mario but on Dolphin now just for old time's sake. Since I need a Wii remote to use Tippi's ability and to tilt/swing when using items like shroom shakes, what are the best controls that will allow my mouse to act as a Wiimote? At least, it would also be appreciated if anyone could suggest to me the best controls for the game. I attached an image showing the emulated Wiimote controls that I'm using.

I'd recommend updating to the latest version of dolphin as the control configurations have been revamped.

I just got myself the new 5.0-10713 version. What now? I’m using the same settings and I calibrated the IR pointer a few times but my mouse still doesn’t act like a Wii remote.

Can you post your config again? I've never played the game before so I'm not exactly sure what it's looking for.

All you need is to map a sideways Wiimote to the keyboard and map the pointer to your mouse. Next, map a button for shake (optional -- it's used only for doing Stylish moves) and map another button to the Hide pointer with Toggle option, that's all Edit: just mark the "auto-hide" checkbox, should work perfectly for Super Paper Mario. When you need to use Tippy, use your mouse to point, when done, stop moving the mouse and you can continue playing normally after some seconds...

Spoiler:
Those mappings should cover all uses of the Wiimote during the main history. However, later on the game there's a specific Arcade on the town (don't remember the exact name) that have some mini-games available, those require more elaborate mappings as they use the motion sensors rather differently

Hey nevermind what I said. I actually just needed to go a little further into the first chapter so the game could let me use the Wii remote.
