Since it's getting close to the end of the year, it's about time to think back on all the games you've played this year. Which one was the best? Now I don't care about platforms (handheld, console, PC) or even if the game was released this year or not, just as long as you played it and liked it above all else.

For me, this definitely has to be Xenoblade Chronicles, hands down. One of the most comprehensive RPGs I've played in a long time. Any RPG that gets me 90+ hours on the first playthrough is top-stuff in my book. The world they made was crazy-huge as well.

Runner ups:
LoZ: Skyward Sword
Xonotic
Golden Sun: The Lost Age

I find it very hard to just process through all the games I've played in 2012 and come to a verdict in an instant.
In addition, picking one of the couple of games that surface is nearly impossible.

But for Shonumi I shall try my best.

Deciding on a game out of the blue, this is basically my choice as well.

Normally I'd have a clash between a couple of games, namely:
  • Xenoblade Chronicles (2011 game, but w/e)
  • Dark Souls
(maybe more if I can remember them... then again, if I don't remember them I'm sure they don't belong here)

I didn't know neobrain was a non-gamer. Tongue

Well this thread has quickly derailed into a mickey-take.

To try and restore it, I'm going to say that the best game I've played this year is definitely Skyrim. It may not have the highest peak enjoyment of anything I've played, but the fact that there's still a tonne of stuff to do after I've spent as long as I have on it means that it has to win.
OS: Windows 10 64 bit Professional
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5900X
RAM: 16GB
GPU: Radeon Vega 56

It's funny to see Gabriel get so excited with his games.

I really enjoyed the exploration and main quest of Skyrim. Unfortunately it wasn't as diverse as I'd hoped.
More is not always better, and you'll soon find out why.

Yes Garteal Big Grin This year there have only been two games that have meant more than anything to me. PGA Tour 12 and PGA Tour 13.
Forget what I have said about other games in the past because these two have been phenomenal. I have been playing a lot of games this year but mostly games I have played a lot before.
But it started this April when I tried out PGA Tour 13 for the first time, I fell in love with the game immediately and the next thing that I did was to buy it. The reason I got PGA Tour 12 was because the option to have a caddy at your side.
What I'm hoping for next year is the perfect mix of PGA Tour 12 and 13 with some new courses in PGA Tour 14.

Give me a golf game and I could play for hours and hours Big Grin
