So I have a Dolphin version 5.0-7838. I'm trying to play it with my friend, but when I start it up it's either (A) slow, or (B) a screen with no text or logos. Here are my laptop specs:

Processor: AMD A6 APU
GPU: AMD Radeon R4
RAM: 4.00

You have tons of things working against you here

(TL;DR: You can't do anything, Dolphin will not be playable on your PC)

1. You have a very old CPU
2. You have an AMD CPU based on bulldozer, arguably AMD's worst arch for single threaded performance of it's time.
3. You have a low end CPU, when that CPU was actually new.
4. The low amount of RAM plus a modern OS probably makes you page to disk a ton which probably doesn't help at all.

Some more readings on why this is all terrible for emulation in general and will always be the case.
