Best Configuration

System specs:

ASUS laptop
Intel i7-4700Q CPU @ 2.40Ghz
8 GB of RAM
NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 765M
Windows 8.1 64bit processor

Trying to play SSB Melee and am experiencing significant lag. I have just download dolphin 4.0.2 (x86) and all the settings are currently at default.

Download the latest Dev builds and use Opengl. That will give a nice little performance boost. Also use the x64 version because your OS is 64 bit and
it will run faster.

Still a bit laggy getting around 30-40 fps

Make sure your laptop is on high performance mode and force the 765M via the Nvidia Control panel. Also check
your computer temperatures to see if it's throttling. What are your other settings?

Right-click the game -> Properties -> Enable Vbeam Speed Hack . This may not help you get more speed in Melee but it should help in some other games . To make it quick , here is the laptop performance guilde . Make sure your GPU is used and CPU run at 3.2GHz or higher (Use throttlestop to force maximum CPU multiplier if it's necessary to do that) .
