You would be wrong then. There are no games currently that benefit from 4GB of video ram and by the time there are either card will likely be obsolete anyways.

GTX 670 can't compete with GTX 770 , overclock or not
$100 difference isn't the "same" you're thinking of a gtx 680

You will use all 4GB of video ram (even 6GB) if you have a multi-monitor setup with ridiculously high resolution , 2GB won't cut it in that case . However , if you only have single monitor with 2560x1440 res , 2GB is good enough

Unless you get the cheapest brand with less quality
See :

And no , it's not $100 difference . Some GTX 670 is still at 400$
Some brand slash the price off I see . All of GTX 670 were 400$ last time I check

You can use about 2.5gb of ram in pc games without a multi-monitor system at 1080p.

Every one who plays Skyrim with texture mods, mesh mods, lighting overhauls.
And people who play battlefield 3 with ridiculous settings. Angel

And you trust them , for real ? I'm sorry if I was rude but those people don't have enough reputation for me to trust
I got all info from Eric (Professional Unboxer/Benchmarker from motherboard.org) and Linus if you ask . As I watch video , read many articles every day (try not to miss a single video)

I wouldn't say that..... If you have been on Overclock.net ,then you would know that hi res (as in ABOVE 1080P) with multi-monitor and AA can cripple cards with lesser amounts of VRAM, especially if your going for Crysis 3 multi-monitor or heavily modded Skyrim. You could easily max out 2GB VRAM if you knew how, and it looks beautiful if you can pull it off.

Battlefield 3 maxed out at 1920 x 1080 doesn't use above 2GB under any scenario. I am sure of that.

It might be possible in skyrim with absurdly high resolution textures and shadow maps. But it still doesn't count since that's not a stock game. Almost any moddable game could in theory be modded to use almost any amount of vram. That doesn't really invalidate the statement that modern games don't use that much vram (which implies without modding). My 2GB card had no problem running with the highest resolution texture packs I could find. You need some pretty crazy mods/texture packs to get it above 2GB. 4GB of vram is not worth the extra money at this point in time.

Admin specifically stated without multi-monitor. The OP is not running a multi-monitor setup so it shouldn't factor into his decision.

Crazy amounts of SSAA like 9x or 16x could also do it but your wouldn't be capable of achieving playable performance (>15 fps) in a modern game without multiple GTX Titans in SLI anyways. Regardless of vram.

Thank you so much. That is amazing, but not as amazing as I imagined it to be. Maybe I'm just nitpicking. In motion it must be stunning. What's the FPS with SSAAx4?
