Reasons :
_Newest cooling design
_Good for overclockers
_Silent GPU

Any reason why that's one of the cheaper ones?

How's this one? Is the extra 40 dollars not worth it?

The more expensive one is the better card, so if the OP wants the slight improvement he'll get, he can spend the money.

40$ for just 50MHz overclock + 1GB Vram ?
You can overclock 100MHz+ for free
You'll not gain a single FPS in dolphin/PCSX2 -> Not worth it
Edit : If you have multi-monitor setup or big monitor 40-50" with insane resolution (2560x1600 or higher) , the 3GB Vram version will be abit faster (PC gaming)
If your monitor is 20-30" with 1080p(1920x1080) resolution , there will be no benefit between 2GB and 3GB Vram

And this is exactly why I"m glad I asked. Yeah, I'll be playing this on 1080p Television instead of using a monitor. Thanks for helping me save money.

1GB of vram is more than enough for 2560 x 1600 on most (if not all) top of the line PC games, let alone dolphin. 2GB/3GB is really only useful for multi-monitor setups, period.

Actually in my opinion cheaper giagabyte windforce is better then the other one mentioned.
Why ? Because it has custom, better cooler while 3gb version has stock nvidia cooler.
Cheaper one will be less noisy, cooler, and probably can be overclocked higher.

Forcing 8k textures in RAGE uses 1.2GB of my VRAM, and it definitely looks better than 4k textures, even on my 1080p monitor, but I suppose 1.5GB would cover this. Basically, there are other things the OP could do wit his $40 whivh he'd see a bigger benefit from.

So you modified the game past its stock settings? I don't think that's a fair comparison considering nearly any game that is moddable could be modded to use super high resolution textures and consume absurd amounts of memory, but no sane developer would do this with the settings included in the game.

have you tried the 16k textures? i have a 2gb card but nvidia recommend a 3gb card for 16K and they are only noticeable on super high resolution screens?
