I was wondering what the best tablet is that can run dolphin?

I've heard a few such as Telcast X98 Pro (however the battery is disappointing and can overheat) the Nexus 9 (Haven't seen how dolphin run on this tablet) and the Surface Pro range (2 and up however these are expensive...)

Anyone have any idea what the best tablet is to play Dolphin with a roughly £300 - £400 Budget?(maybe a bit more if the specs are worth the extra pay but no higher than £600)

I think Google's Pixel C is the best option currently.

The atom tablet will be a no go... I've had a surface pro 2 and that can play dolphin at native res, but its heavy thick and the battery life is a couple of hours max when gaming.  Its still a better option that a SP3 or SP4 because those throttle like hell.  I've also considered core-m tablets but Im 99% certain thermal/power throttling will be a problem. No experience with the Pixel C but it's very expensive and still won't give consistently good results.

I'm really hoping Nvidia will release an updated Sheild tablet but I haven't seen anything that leads me to believe they will. Theres some speculation they may have agreed with Nintendo not to bring a new tablet to the market now they are powering the Nintendo Switch.  Given that I'd probably sit tight and see what kind of performance upcoming Snapdragon 835 brings.

Alternatively you could hope that someone can "jailbreak/root" the Switch  :-)

There is no good option. Even the Pixel C is slow.

GPD Win is much better than a tablet . It's a 3ds size laptop with built-in controller plus a fan to dissipate heat . It has the fastest Atom X7 Z8700 which is faster than the X5 Z8500 in the Teclast X98 Pro
It does run some light-weight games like SMS , Wave Race - Blue Storm . And it can run crysis too (at low settings though) Big Grin
