We are not all going to have the same region because we are not all from the same region. If some own the NTSC version and need the PAL version for testing, what would you have them do, download it?

yea but different region games emulate differently either we should all have the same or we should have two tests. one for ntsc and one for pal

I already talked about this.

Quote:Obviously to ensure proper results we will all need to be using the same build and using a fps counter in the exact same spot in the exact same game with the exact same settings.

Quote:I now want everyone from here on out to post not only their cpu models for all the systems they can use but a list of games they can use as well. People who have already posted should post their games as well. After a week or so we should have enough people to get started so I will put up a poll with the 10 most popular games and we will all vote on one.

As for PAL vs. NTSC. Yes we will have two different sets of results. Once we determine the game everyone will be running whichever version they have and they will tell me which version they have so I can group the results accordingly.

As for everyone that asked if they can participate, the answer is yes. Remember we are going to be waiting a week for people to sign up before we get started. So cool it on the "OMG we need to pick a game now!". And please read all of my posts in this thread before commenting so I don't have to answer a question that I already answered again.

Oh and to everyone who has volunteered THANKS A LOT! I greatly appreciate it.

Also johnblunt and cmccmc I need to know how much ram is in the system that you will be using. And scarscream you can use your laptop but not your desktop since it only has 1GB of system ram.

Yeh.. I got 4Gb physically installed, but only 3Gb gets registered in the BIOS. After what i get from the forum its because my 32bit processor limits the system to 3Gb. Im running on Windows 32 bit XP SP2 with a Dual Core upgrade.

Normally I would just use metroid prime since I have it and the very first area has horrible low fps on any system (outside of the pirate frigate). But we should vote on it since whatever game we choose everyone will have to get, and since people will vote for games they already have that will mean that we will probably end up picking a game that most of us already have.
This. I am here specifically to have this FPS BS eradicated with a new build, as I know this is a build-based issue.

Anyways, what type of specs should I post for my submission? The whole nine yards? Or just specific specs?
