Because it's his way? Starscream he's just trolling, and you know the old expression, "don't feed the troll". I laughed a little when I entered the thread and saw a back and forth between you two spanning almost an entire page. Looks like he sucked in another victim (I got sucked in awhile back on a conversation about "illiteracy", so I can tell you right now this is exactly what he does everywhere). I still have no idea why he hasn't been banned yet, seeing as how he has spent the last week going around starting arguments and attempting to cause as much disruption as possible in several threads, not to mention everyone hates him anyways because of this, I'm going to go talk to the mods and see if I can sort this out because I really can't deal with this happening again when we have serious work to do.

I was not really falling into a trap, I rather enjoyed telling him how it is and watched as he was left with nothing left to say when he finally realized that he was caught and stuck and didn't have a way out of his pathetic trolling argument. Do what you have to do as far as the mods go, maybe they can help and maybe we can get this benchmark off the ground soon.

Unfortunately none of them are on irc right now, so I will have to wait till later today. And you do realize that what you just said will bring him back for more and start this whole thing over again right? Any mention of "winning" an argument with a troll will cause them to become temporarily insane (more than usual) and I also believe that their is no such thing as "winning" when a troll is involved, kind of like war.

Edit: Alright he's going to get warned. Now we can get back on track. As I said earlier we still need to find a better area. And I would really prefer not to use hyrule field in late game since they're about to fix that. Only place left to try that I can think of (I didn't get that far into the game) is lake hylia upper section, which I remember lagging. We have to find a spot that gives us a terrible framerate (below 30fps) without AA. That savegame is for the originally intended area, faron woods, what kind of framerate are you getting there?

Besides this being an evident hobby to gloat at one another's speeds, what else is there to this? Common sense won't benefit the emulator in any way. I get 10-12 FPS in Faron Woods where your save put me in the game. This is one of the slowest areas for me.

Ok maybe we can use it then. For some reason I thought you were the guy with the core i7 920 in his desktop. These results were achieved on your laptop correct?

Back in the day I was getting 20 fps in that area with build 5016. Unfortunately my rig is currently setup as a linux server and must remain this way for another month or so, one of the many reasons why I wanted to postpone the benchmark. I don't remember the exact framerate but with framelimit off I remember JAD getting over 60 fps, I might not be right about this but it was definitely insanely high. JAD, care to post your fps in faron woods (remember to use the listed settings)?
