** posting here because it wouldn't let me create a thread in games discussion**

Hello readers,

When playing Battalion Wars 2 (latest revisions), I am experiencing fps drops. (both with HLE and LLE audio)
This happens when your character/the camera is facing in certain directions or at certain objects.
However I find it hard to determine what actually causes the fps to go down so significantly. I'm talking from 30 fps to 23 fps.
While at some other points the game will go up to 40-50 fps if you turn of fps limit.

I have tried dx9, dx11, and opengl. Of the three dx9 is fastest, opengl is a bit slower. Fiddling around with the graphic options doesn't do a thing.
Not even a single fps difference. So I'd say that would establish it's not a gpu problem. Rather a cpu problem.
But since it handles the game fine otherwise it's likely to be a simple part of the game that just gets emulated incorrectly or innefficiently.
Like what used to happen with mario galaxy with the backgrounds (I think).

So I'm out of solutions. Hopefully some of you or the devs can be of service in this matter.

Thanks in advance.

.. and there's a good reason why you can't! Newcomers aren't supposed to randomly go ahead and create threads like this one anywhere. Use the search function and post in the appropriate game thread in the future.

Anyway, leaving this open since the "game thread" (if you can call it that) for this game is pretty much crap.

I understand why you are trying to keep the forums clean, (for one it's damned hard to find exactly what your looking for with all the clutter) but I did my searches,
I create a legit thread with all the information included, detailed description and personal findings, I did extensive testing before posting.

For the people who actually care about this project and the community its kind of a kick in the teeth to restrict access like this and treat them with a certain hostility.
I read the houserules. And I know my nettiquette.

Dolphin revision and settings? These are the kinds of questions that shouldn't need to be asked and would normally get your thread closed for not having that information, but I'll give you a chance to correct that now.

Are you people even reading what I posted? It clearly says, latest revisions. You want more specific? r592 and back to r586.

As for settings, I can't give you specific settings, as I've tried them all as I stated also in my post. And none make a difference.

Normally I just use all the recommended settings. Only switching things like the internal res and the EFB copies settings.

I don't know what more I can give you.

"Latest revision" doesn't mean anything to me. How do I know that you know what the latest revision is? We've had guys say they were using the latest revision and it was several years old. To avoid confusion, we ask that you specifically list the number. As far as the settings, I gave you a chance at not closing this thread for not reading the global forum rules and not listing your settings. You say "I can't give you specific settings". Well, If you don't know what settings you're using and I don't know what settings you're using, there is nothing further that can be done here. How can I attempt to help you if there is missing information? Try to read some FAQ's and rules before posting again. Alternatively, if you're not happy with a games speed, overclock more or get a faster processor.

Closed.
