Baten Kaitos / Wont launch without Dual Core Option?

I'd try just playing the game with dual core, saving often and especially saving before opening up the magnus menu. If you are lucky, the changes from the past year or so did reduce the frequency of the crashes. Isn't there somebody in the related issue report saying that it crashed 1-2 times in the whole playthrough?
