hey there,

i was wondering why only a real Balance Board is supported for Balance Board controllers in Dolphin. currently, my computer doesn't have Bluetooth, and i was also thinking of doing TASes of Wii Fit Plus, which using a real Balance Board for is difficult. could this be added in a future update, or if it can't be added, an explanation provided as to why it won't happen? thanks.

perhaps there can be two different tools for this: basic and advanced. basic would be as simple as placing where on the Balance Board the center of mass is along with a small text box to type the weight in. (pounds or kilograms, it doesn't matter, or perhaps a dropdown selection of which?) advanced would have more detailed data; stuff like the top left, top right, bottom left, and bottom right input pressures for raw weight, offset weight, and offset weight ratio (there is an old program called Wii Balance Walker that has all this info displayed. it's hard to find, but in the attached file to this post, i have a screenshot of what it looks like. i can also provide the program itself if needed.)

despite that though, i feel the basic mode is simple enough to have everything needed to emulate the Balance Board properly.

this is just an idea i wanted to throw out there, let me know if this is a thing that can or can't happen. thanks :p

It might get added at some point in the future, but I don't have anything specific to announce. It's just a matter of someone wanting to sit down and implement it.
