Hello,

i want to play Mario Kart on my Gaming Notebook, but the sound stutters and the game is very laggy. What are the best settings to play it?

I have a Schenker P503 with an Intel Core i7-4700MQ, a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M and 16 GB of RAM. Actually i have lowest resolution and no AA and other things. I did the setup from the performance guide, but it is not playable at the moment.

Any1 can help me?

Thanks

You have the beast GTX 780M and you still using lowest internal resolution (1xIR) no AA , is this for real ? No , Please don't do that .
My low-end GT 540M can handle 2.5xIR(1600x1320) on most games . You don't have to use that ugly as sin : 1xIR , just use 4x IR (2560x2112) , no AA , 16xAF

Laptop performance guide

Thanks for your answer.

I have tried some things including your guide, but mario kart is still running low. If i your 4xIR and 16xAF everything looks very nice but the speed isnt improved. I used open gl with about 50-60 frames most of time but music stutters and sometimes i have only about 40 frames.
If i use direct3d9 the frames go down to about 10 some time.

So what are the best settings in dolphin for graphic, CPU and audio emulation? And are there some tweaks if i change the settings from the specific game by right click on it?

thanks

Make sure your CPU run at maximum turbo clock : 3.2GHz (4 cores active) . You can use throttlestop in the guide to enforce the CPU
Make sure you use the default HLE audio backend , not the demanding LLE
Use Realtemp to check CPU clockspeed and Nvidia Inspector to check GPU clockspeed when Mario Kart is running (It will be nice if you post some screenshots )
Btw , try Direct3D11 instead of OpenGL

If you're using 4.0.2, checking "Vertex Streaming Hack" in Graphics > Hacks (only under OpenGL) speeds things up quite a bit. It still may not be as fast as D3D11 for this game, though, I dunno. Check both backends.

I'd heavily recommend using D3D9 for Mario Kart Wii in 4.0.2.

Hey, sorry for the late reply.

I have downloaded throttlestop and startet it with the settings 32 * 100 for 3200 MHz. You can see the configuration attached, while im running mario kart. I have testet mario kart in openGL with vertex hack, but no positive effect. I have about 40+ fps and its stuttering.
While the game is running i have open my intel extreme tuning utility. There is another screenshot attached. There you can see, that the CPU Frequency is correct.

If i try to run the game with direct3d11 i get an error when starting the game.

So whats wrong with my configuration? I am running Windows 8.1 Enterprise x64 with the newest drivers. My System is reinstalled 4 days ago, so no old shit on it Smile

Thanks

Did you set up a profile in Nvidia Control Panel to run on high performance?

"Failed to enumerate outputs" is caused by selecting Nvidia GPU via Dolphin Configuration (choose GPU adaptor) .It's a known issue . I also mentioned about this issue in my guide
You supposed to choose Intel HD GPU via Dolphin config and force Nvdia GPU to run Dolphin via Nvidia Control Panel
