Backporting GCI save from 4.0 to 3.5 not working

Hello,

I've been playing Zelda: Twilight Princess on Dolphin 4.0, however, I ran into an area where I cannot continue as it keeps freezing (Can't enter N. Faron Woods for Master Sword mission). I read another thread where the OP went from 4.0 to 3.5 and that worked smoothly for them. I am trying to do the same; however, I cannot seem to backport the GC memory card from 4.0 to 3.5.

These are the steps I did:

1) Export ZTP to GCI on 4.0
2) Load game on 3.5 and allow it to format empty memory card
3) Close game and import ZPT GCI to 3.5 memory card
4) Start game

It shows 3 empty quest logs with mine not being in there. I read another thread about changing the 0x07 byte from 01 to 05, however it was already 05 as I used the dolphin export tools. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Just copy your MemCardA.USA.raw from "My Documents\Dolphin Emulator\GC" to "<Dolphin 3.5>\User\GC" or, in 3.5, go to Config => GameCube and change your MemCard path to use the raw file from Dolphin 4.0.

BTW, anything older than 4.0 stable aren't supported, so, you should try to fix your issue with 4.0 instead of trying old builds. If the problem persists, then a regression may be occurred somewhere and you should search google code for a similar issue (or open a new one if you don't find)...

Copying the memcard worked. I didn't know that 3.5 had a different save location than 4.0.
I did some google searches on the issue which turned up null, I will search the project specifically later.
