Hello, I am partly new in this whole emulator topic. I've started trying with Xbox original just to play Serious Sam but since it doesn't work yet I have found out that Next Encounter works on PS2 emulators but with lags and low quality (otherwise crash or more lag) but dolphin did the trick and I'm very happy with everything but one thing that was also happening on that PS2 emulator:

Axis start to respond on faster mouse movements. It's bearable but I'd like to know if it can be avoided. Simply C Stick movement is set with Axis (basically mouse not cursor) and thats all and if I slowly move the mouse it doesn't react but as long as its faster that this slow I'm talking about it reacts and etc. A sort of solution is possible by changing the mouse DPI so it would move further on slower push of the mouse but in game everything becomes unpleasant something like mouse acceleration on big high res screen its weird confusing and annoying.

Is this how it is with emulators at this point or is there something that can be done to make it work like well non emulated games?

That's not the point I'm asking about. The whole thing with my big screen and resolution with acceleration was an example I was trying to give on how it feels like using that solution which in other words DPI cover up doesn't suit my needs. I'd simply like to know if this response on C stick with axis can be 'fixed'.

I don't think this can be fixed for any console / game that only allows joypad input.

What you are effectively are trying to do is moving an Analog Stick with a mouse and expect it to work like a mouse in a game made that is made for PC. Since there is some sort of "accelleration" on the stick so that a little bit of movement of the stick slowly starts moving you and a bigger movement of the stick moves you faster.

But just so you know... These games also have a PC counterpart which DOES work correctly with a mouse.

Here they are. The dot on the yellow C stick is slightly moved because I was using snipping tool to capture this.

Yeah I guess then I'll probably just use a joypad.

I know there are PC versions I've bought all of them and finished them long ago. The thing is that the Next Encounter is a PS2/Gameboy exclusive and Serious Sam on the original Xbox is more fun and funky with all those cinematic's as well as connects both first and second encounter ending/beginning nicely and its something I'd wish to play by myself.
