Hello, I started using dolphin a month ago. And it is going pretty well so far. Except for one problem with FPS, first of all, no there aren’t any problems with my pc specs, they are pretty well. But anyways, here is what I need help with; when I first open my pc, the games that usually run at 60fps, run at 30fps. But then, after a while passes while my computer is open, then I try running these games again, they run at 60fps. I get the same problem with Citra too. how do i fix this situation and use dolphin manually at 60fps? Help please.

This seems more likely to be a system/hardware issue than a dolphin issue as you phrase it since you also experience it outside dolphin. Perhaps it is power managment related, what are your clock speeds for both your cpu and the gpu when the issue happens? Also do you have vsync enabled? 02-17-2018, 05:13 AM

We have far too many users unaware that emulation has very different recommended hardware requirements. And you didn't fill out your profile properly. So no, we don't know that. Anyways, you're probably having an issue with v-sync being forced somewhere in the rendering stack and you're probably dropping very slightly below 60 fps which kicks you down to half that because v-sync. 02-17-2018, 05:56 AM
There's also an Nvidia thing that caps things to 30 FPS when on battery which could possibly be affecting you.

I've had that issue hit me and I'm someone who uses Dolphin daily. That one is a pain.
