What can I say except how grateful I am for the amazing software you provide! More so that it now auto updates!

But I have an issue with the update process, or rather the aftermath. The update completes without a hitch, but everytime Dolphin restarts I get around 4 or 5 errors that stops it working. I found out that the cause is to do with Read Only attributes.

After each update I have to locate the Dolphin folder, R-Click it select Properties and deselect the 'Read-only' check box.
Then it runs fine without the aforementioned errors.

Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? Or, what I can do to avoid this process?

Thank you for your help and for such a great program ;-)

When I get the errors the game window closes afterwards.

Ok, so I figured the actual error messages would be of more value than me simply saying I get errors! Big Grin

So here they are:

It seems that your Dolphin SETTINGS rather than your Dolphin is the cause of this issue. If you didn't make Dolphin portable, these are found in My documents\Dolphin Emulator, or if you did make Dolphin portable you will find them in the same folder as your Dolphin.exe in a folder called User. Try giving Full NTFS permissions on the folders and subfolders to the user you are currently logged on as. That SHOULD fix it.
Check my profile for up to date specs.

Hey thanks for the reply.

First off, yeah, Dolphin is portable. I tried as you suggested but still after an update Dolphin gives those same errors when trying to load game.

When I searched how to perform the task you suggested it states that the permissions tick boxes are clickable. Mine aren't and they aren't boxes but simply ticks. I have to click the EDIT button in order for these to be changed. Is this normal? Every site I checked misses this step out.

But again, restarting Dolphin stops the errors from appearing and the game loads normally.

Any other ideas?
