Yeah, Xenoblade Chronicles is super picky about your Framelimit options. Anything but Auto (and limit by FPS unchecked in builds when that option was around) either gives me speed issues during gameplay or the audio plays faster than it should.

not really...i find dolphin 3.0 builds have better audio. Comparing this :dolphin 3.0 Dsound and dolphin 4.0.2 Dsound , all same settings, same game

dolphin 3.0 sound is smooth when fps drops, no broken/slutter sound. While 4.0.2 give me broken audio when fps drops, even openAL lantency dont work

i can make example videos if you dont believe me [Image: confused.gif]

No, you're just misinformed about what good audio is like, I completely believe that you're foolish enough to think 3.0's audio emulation is better.

This is impossible to evaluate since you haven't stated your system specs or bothered to post them in your profile. With certain older hardware, that might actually make sense. On up to date hardware, it really doesn't hold up.

elsword, 4.0.2 doesn't have the recent changes that adjust the audio when not running fullspeed. The latest development builds do. 4.0.2 will stutter when not running fullspeed. The very latest builds won't. It may not sound as good to your ears as 3.0 when you can't run a game at fullspeed, but this really is the best solution.

Read the link MaJoR gave you, the old implementation of AX microcode HLE had tons of issues. The new implementation raised the issue of stuttering audio, but now that has been addressed as best as it can be without bringing back all of the old issues that plagued Dolphin for years.
