So eh, i only just got Dolphin and decided to play Paper Mario but sadly the sound is pretty bad.

At first it was like a frequent, loud beeping flicker that was beyond annoying.. so after some googling etc i changed to DSP LLE.. (interp & recomp); this helped a bit as it made the beeping stop but the sound then began dieing off and on gently. No beeping, just gentle flickering - still annoying.
I also tried 'on thread', and disabling the throttle. Still no joy.
Also messed with the FPS settings a bit trying to sync the audio but still to no avail.

SO. I'm hoping that you guys could provide some insight as to how i go about fixing this problem...

I've only got Paper Mario atm but hope to play Starfox adventures soon... hoping the problem will be resolved before though.

Any advice appreciated.

My earlier thanks was a little pre-empt .. as sadly the problem remains.

Is this solely related to Paper Mario or is my audio going to be an issue on all dolphin games...?

Cheers

Overclock your CPU and use LLE. You'll get perfect sound in most games

Processor Intel® Core™ i5-2500K CPU @ 3.30GHz, 3601 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)

Is that not sufficient to run these games without any issues?

I mean, i'm not very tech savy so i would't know.. but i play other games like WoW and SCII on ultra settings without any problems..?

Maybe i'm being naive i don't know.. i'm just concerned about overclocking as i've never done it before and know very little about it.
Would my processor be in danger? I mean, my PC is usually running over 10 hours a day.. i don't want it overheating on me Sad((

If you're sure that overclocking will solve my issue i will look into it - just need some clarification.

A lot of games need at least 4.0 GHz to work fine especially if you're using LLE

You can't compare emulated console games with PC games

A "k" processor is made for this. If you got good MoBo/cooler system it's safe

It will help you in most games (not only Paper Mario)

Ah Ok.

Well, i guess i could give it a go then, although im not sure if my PC is safe in the cooling department. I mean, i can see that it has 3 fans but i don't know about the Motherboard.

Should i invest money in a water cooler?

Thanks Vador for the help.

No, not necessary. Just make sure you don't set the multiplier and the VCore to high when u overclock.
