System: Intel NUC 10 i5
Dolphin Version: 5.0-20437 (also tried latest beta)
OS: Windows 10
Audio: DSP HLE / Cubeb
- If I open Dolphin via the GUI, everything works fine
- If I open it via command-line mode, specifying a file with (or without) the -e option, no audio is emitted
- Interestingly, if I stop emulation and reopen the same game, audio _will work_ on the second try.
- I've double-checked the audio mixer, but I think the above test confirms the mixer is not at fault.
- If I "reset" emulation, it does not fix audio. This is likely because this is a soft reset that goes back to the in-game menu, it doesn't "power-cycle" the emulator.
My best guess is this is a race condition, in which the game starts before the audio system is fully up and running.
As I write this, I tried again and audio _did_ start when running from command-line. This makes me more suspicious that it's a race condition.
