I do have Vituralbox installed and VT-X enabled in the BIOS since I try out different linux distros constantly.
Audio glitch?

I have VirtualBox and I thought that perhaps maybe a fault driver it installed could be causing the issue. I uninstalled it and no dice unfortunately.
I also tried unchecking "Enable Idle Skipping" and "Enable Dual Core" (one at a time of course) but the issue persists.

Hello everyone
Thought I would drop a comment just to let you know my audio issues! I'm using Dolphin 3.5-269. Playing the GC version of twilight princess, I get to the part where you get the lantern off the afro dude sitting infront of his shack in the forest and the sound glitches. The sound freezes and goes into a loop of. So say it's playing the forest song and the drum beat comes in, if it freezes on the drum beat, then the same beat will keep repeating itself. Along side this ALL sound effects stop working. If I restart it works again but as soon as I enter the same area, the sound messes up. Maybe I should just hold out without sound until I'm done with that level. I'll wait for the glitch to happen, mute my sound and then unmute in an hour and see how it is. Second glitch is with Zelda collectors edition. I clicked play on Majoras mask and it kept making this horrible noice, like a deep buzz that was on a loop again, I didn't even bother going past the title screen on this. So yeah, there's my input 01-26-2013, 02:17 AM
strikerdes,
Do you get this issue in any other games? Also specifically what settings do you use? What are your pc specs?

Hi!
No I haven't tried any other games on Dolphin, only these two. My specs are- Operating System: windows 7, home edition, 64 bit. Processor: Intel Core i7-27220QM 2.20ghz (8 CPUs) RAM: 16gb DDR3 Graphics Card: Nvidia Geforce GT 555M 3gb If it's any consolation, I can run games like Skyrim and Assassins Creed 3 on maxed settings (plus Skyrim has a lot of mods which are graphical enhancements) There is no reason my Laptop shouldn't play the game. It has absolutely no lag issues, it constantly has an FPS of 30. 01-26-2013, 04:32 AM
The only playable with the cpu are pc games ...
Emulate impossible dolphin games, a weak processor, little game will be playable with many sound errors and can not be used for low frequency lle has ... 01-26-2013, 04:57 AM
Are you talking to me?
If so, okay Though I can't understand how my laptop couldn't run a GC game but can run XBOX/PS3 games like Skyrim, if that makes sense. Surely it would take more power to run a game of today like Sims 3 on max graphics then a GC game. 01-26-2013, 05:23 AM

It has been said time and time again that Running a PC game != Emulating a different architecture. Anyway, I do like to see that you are using a different socket CPU than myself and a different GPU maker as it helps eliminate drivers to be the fault. I am going to do some testing with PCSX2 tonight. It uses the XAudio2 backend. If it does it then clearly (at least for me) Dolphin is not to blame.

PC games are for PCs. GC/Wii games are not. PC games are GPU dependent. Dolpin is CPU dependent. etc. For your sound issues you should try other games to see what's going on. You can try LLE to see if it solves your issue too (it should). And then you'll see how Dolphin is CPU dependent
