Wow, I understand now after joining about 5 or 6 different forums, you always have that one person who is rude and obnoxious.

Thank you @Lord Vader for the good advice and for giving me a little lesson on the difference between dolphin games and PC games, I just assumed everything ran off the same thing.

@Haddock, no I have a ps3 and xbox, but what I meant was (it's completely irrelevant now) those two consoles have higher specs and run games like Skyrim, where as the Wii or GC obviouslly cannot and runs games a lot lower then what the PS3 and Xbox does.
My original point, before I was told how the emulator runs games, is how could my PC that runs games that an xbox or ps3 does perfectly and not a GC.

Thanks for the help you two anyway, much appreciated ^.^

Also what is LLE? Smile

haddockd I have no problem running PCSX2 for hours on end when using the XAudio backend so for me its a dolphin only problem and I do not remember anyone else having this issue with PCSX2.

LLE is an initialism that stands for Low Level Emulation, as opposed to High Level Emulation. Check out wikipedia for some more general information. As it relates to Dolphin and this discussion, LLE refers to how Dolphin will emulate the DSP (Digital Signal Processor) which is responsible for the audio. LLE audio is as accurate as Dolphin can get (it uses dumped files from the console as well) when it comes to emulating audio. People generally use LLE if HLE audio gives them trouble; HLE audio has matured to the point where it's pretty good for a majority of all games, but we do have persistent issues. Using LLE audio is usually more demanding that using HLE audio. Check out the Dolphin Wiki entry about LLE audio and look at this thread if you're interested in trying it yourself.

Thanks Topken. You just saved me a few hours of testing Smile

And that kind of sucks because the issue is persistent all the way back to 3.0 (I didnt bother testing anything before that, although I could). I KNOW for a fact I used to play Resident Evil 4 for hours and hours on 3.0 and never experienced this issue so it is maddening.

Actually it wasn't my intention to look rude and obnoxious Tongue .

Your issue obviously didn't seem to be the same as the one exposed by haddockd in this thread so I tried to prevent any confusion

I tested 7719 and the static is also there...I tried testing with 2.0 but none of my games run long enough to confirm. I did hear the pops and static but not the desynch because I wasn't actually able to play it longer than 15 minutes or so.

UPDATE:
I was able to confirm the desynch and static on 2.0 using Resident Evil 4.

Managed to get twilight princess working Smile just installed LLE.
Majoras Mask on the collectors edition sound issue got fixed, but the game crashed at the point where you blow the balloon up after seeing the great fairy for the first time.

Anyway TP runs perfectly, there are a few pieces of music missing, like when you learn a skill, the victory music doesn't play, but it doesn't matter.

Thanks for the help Smile

Spoke to soon lol the game crashes when you exit with midna through a portal

I can officially eliminate RealTek. They do have known issues with static in their drivers, but I disabled mine in the BIOS after uninstalling all drivers so it isnt even active and the issue persists.

The only audio device listed is my ATI device (from my 6970) HDMI

Update: I tried build 5473 and it makes the issue happen significantly faster.

Also 6060 makes more static than music...maybe a good one to take a look at for debug purposes

I also found this from 2010. It appears to be a similar issue to ours and it doesn't look like there was a resolution...

Is anyone getting this issue in Mac or Linux?

Sorry, I meant to compile the latest revision and have a look to see if the static was fixed. I'll definitely do it tonight, maybe play a couple hours of Melee since I'm finished with Skies of Arcadia.
