Bug
I'm not sure if this is a bug, something that just isn't in this build or whatever, but....

I've done a little reading and from what I can tell, I should be able to select which audio renderer to use (openAl/DSP HLE etc). But so far as I can tell, I can't see ANY indication of the ability to do so being present in the UI. Am I missing something simple, or is it something that needs to be added into the build still? I can't really find any articles explaining my lack of ability to configure audio settings. I'm using android build 5.0.7004.

Sorry if this HAS been answered in some fashion or if this is the wrong place for posting this.

That's correct, these settings aren't in the Android GUI right now. Maybe they should be available there, but they're probably less useful to be able to edit than you think. There isn't much reason to change the audio output backend, and DSP HLE is almost as good as DSP LLE (not to mention that DSP LLE is horribly slow on ARM CPUs since there's no ARM DSP JIT).

Thank you for the useful information!  So, is it using DSP HLE by default on the android build then?

Yes, DSP HLE is used by default, both on Android and other operating systems.
