Shocked
I found a long play of CoD Modern Warfare 3 (Wii) on Asus ROG Phone, and it runs stable 30 FPS for almost an hour of gameplay. I haven't seen any phone running like this before. What do you guys think?

I’d chalk this up to the fan, but given the video doesn’t show whether the fan is connected, it’s possible it could be just the device itself. LTT reviewed it and found the fan actually isn’t very effective, certainly not enough to provide perpetual thermal stability.

That's actually impressive considering it actually showed running long term and wasn't running any obvious hacks on.

This isn't stable 30 though, you can see several times it dips below, which means audio stuttering. Which is probably why they left audio out.

Still, better than most phones in thermal management.

Android screen recorders don't record internal sound, only mic.

It's just another stupid software created for marketing.

The best compromise is given by a heatpipe in vapourchamber, a Governor Interactive, no restrictions on frequencies and aluminum (or other metallic material), for the best passive cooling.

Nokia 8 (SD835) and PoCo F1 (SD845 [with Interactive] and of course, Vapourchamber Like Nokia dissipation), are the best gaming smartphones for the moment.

Yesterday I played for two uninterrupted hours and without performance drops.

Keep in mind this is just a fancy marketing name for a vapor chamber-based cooling solution...

And in plastic material (and glass), but yeah, it is "cool".

You mean the heat pipe the ROG phone has? The physical fan accessory that provides ACTIVE cooling. Or the presence of highly thermally conductive materials compared to the Poco’s all plastic body. Awarding the best gaming smartphone award to two phones that do literally nothing to be better at gaming over the competition is silly.

I watched a video of Pocophone F1 running CoD MW3 and I saw some drops to 20 FPS:

The guy with ROG Phone was using the official build with no heavy hacks. You probably use the custom build with some speedhack which gives you some performance advantages.
