I recently purchased a Asus BT-211 bluetooth dongle to use with Dolphin. Since it was on sale and support the latest stuff.
After installing the bluetooth XP suite, then I realize that Dolphin only works with Microsoft bluetooth stack, which the BT-211 did not. Obviously, nothing connected.
Then I read somewhere the microsoft Intellipoint 6.1 has the drivers. I downloaded it and installed the software. But I also extract the files into a directory. In the drivers directory where trans32.inf, I modified the Vendor ID and PID to the same as BT-211.
Since the original driver for the BT-211 did not work, I uninstalled the bluetooth XP suite. Without reboot, I open device manager and did a refresh. The device for the BT-211 is missing driver as expected. So I pointed to the modified driver directory from intellipoint.
Window XP recognized the dongle and installed USB bluetooth transceiver 3.0 and all the other support driver with the bluebooth enumerator.
I used the microsoft bluetooth software to pick up the WII remote. Then Dolphin works perfectly with the WII remote afterward.
The problem with this solution is that I lost the driver once I reboot. BT-211 needs to load some bin file for initialization. It is removerd when I remove the BT-211 Bluetooth XP suite.
Now everytime I want to play. I need to install BT-211 software. Then uninstall it. Then scan for device change to pick up the microsoft driver.
I would love to know if anyone has a better solution.
Thanks
