If I find a game that is good enough for me to put time into, I'm certainly not going to ruin it by cheating. If I find that I don't have time or that I'm unable to pass a part in a game, I'd rather just stop playing altogether or come back to it at a later date.

Same here mostly. If I like a game, I'll play it straight the first time, then use cheats if they're interesting on another playthrough.

I do use tricks from time to time, e.g. things that will reproduce a certain item infinitely. Pokemon Red and Blue was one of the most easily exploitable games without using a cheating device like the GameShark. I only used it to get infinite Rare Candies (which is pretty pointless after you've beaten the game, unless you want to transfer your Pokemon to Pokemon Stadium), but you could use some exploits to capture every Pokemon in the game (at crazy levels too, sometimes > 100!) without needing to buy the other game. If the game allows it, coders need to learn to code before they put it in games :p

Usually it's about games I played from the range 10-15 times before and know inside out. But I can cheat in new games I got too if I feel it's becoming boring.

Some games can be fun to explore outside the map etc.

But when I did it in Metroid Prime 2 I felt really sad seeing the bad renderings. Use with caution.

I never cheat on my first round, on any game. But I love to search and find cheats by myself, specially with older emus. Dolphin was never too friendly in this area, so I've stopped trying a few thousand svn's ago. Maybe now its different, but I'm too busy playing new games right now.

In singleplayer games I've tried it before but it usually ruins the game for me so I haven't bothered to cheat in years.

In multiplayer games I would never dare since I strongly believe anyone who cheats in multiplayer games deserves to be killed in the most painful way possible.

I used to cheat in games as a kid, since I started playing with emulators since I was very young, like, 4 years old, and I really sucked and didn't mind ruining the challenge Tongue
I haven't done it in years, maybe a decade Big Grin
