Same here mostly. If I like a game, I'll play it straight the first time, then use cheats if they're interesting on another playthrough.
I do use tricks from time to time, e.g. things that will reproduce a certain item infinitely. Pokemon Red and Blue was one of the most easily exploitable games without using a cheating device like the GameShark. I only used it to get infinite Rare Candies (which is pretty pointless after you've beaten the game, unless you want to transfer your Pokemon to Pokemon Stadium), but you could use some exploits to capture every Pokemon in the game (at crazy levels too, sometimes > 100!) without needing to buy the other game. If the game allows it, coders need to learn to code before they put it in games :p
