No this isn't about cheating on your girlfriend but cheating in games Big Grin

Well are you a cheater or not?

Me, hell yeah!

Now that you start getting older and older time is more important then ever and frankly I don't have 50-60++ hours farming & leveling up to max in a huge RPG game anymore so yeah I always use XP/EXP codes to speed things up.

I don't feel bad about it all and I cheat in almost all games that you can cheat in and I love finding exploits, like in Fallout 3 and New Vegas where you can level up to max in just a few hours spamming same speech checks all over again and again.

I'd say gold/money and XP/EXP codes stands for 90% of my cheating habits. 10% stands for unlimited ammo and miscellaneous codes.

I don't cheat in a way that it breaks the game completely, like getting all items from start just cheat to get enough to complete the game faster then I usually should if I had infinite time in real life.

Time is always important regardless of age. Besides, gaming is something you do when you have time. It's something you do to enjoy yourself.
If cheating is your way of enjoying a game, then I shut my mouth.

Interesting little discussion that have been set in motion here.

But you're right Garteal, cheating is my way of enjoying games today, many games at once that is.
Instead of focusing completing one game for many many hours, I can complete several games a hell of a lot faster.

I hope you don't think of me any less for this and believe me there is games that I don't cheat in too. Zelda, Mario, Metroid games for example.

I'm used to cheat games after I finish them... In Zelda games, for example, after finishing, I have the habit of using moonjump to get in places that we weren't intended to be... Messing around with the graphics (free look, cheat codes to change day/night colors and to distort people) are funny too

Ah moonjump codes, that reminds me of noclip and fly codes I use in some PC games to get to places I'm not supposed to be. Always fun to mess around with stuff like that.

So what's the purpose of beating all these games so fast?
Don't you want to enjoy the game completely from beginning to end, the way it's meant to be played?
Are you not interested to get immersed in the games anymore?
Don't forget the price you pay for them. Are you really OK with rushing through em?
Right now it sounds like you're "checking off" a list of games you have to beat for some reason.

No, I don't think any less of you, I'm just curious as to what your standpoint is for cheating through a game for the first playthroughs.
