There's also a hacks option and I usually tick all the boxes first and let that be s starting point. And I set Shader compilation mode to Asynchronous (ubershaders) but skip drawing can be faster in the gfx option. Other than that just look at the wiki per game and mess with the options. You'll find a sweet spot.
