Ive gotten a few Gamecube games to run better now by Checking AUDIO STRETCHING in the General settings and wondering if there are any other settings that help framerate a bit more by checking or unchecking them ?

Also for some reason INTERNAL RESOLUTION doesnt make that much difference for me if its running at 1x or 2x for most games. Only a couple that i have tried make a difference by dropping it to 1x (the main one being Naruto Clash of the Ninja) all other games are not that noticable so i leave it on 2x since it looks so much better.

Any other tips from some professionals to give me a few more fps ?

Thanks.

Also is there a way to change some games from 60Hz to 50 Hz ? If not would be cool if someone could make a option in the emulator for it then some games would run better wouldnt they because they dont have to run such high fps ?

And is there a way to save the settings for each game ? Would be awesome if there was a way to do this, so you dont have to keep changing and remembering every setting for each game.

If a game does not support both 60FPS and 50FPS, the only way to switch between the two would be to use per-game hacks/patches/cheats. Many PAL titles natively run at 50FPS (sometimes 25FPS) and some allow you to to 60FPS (or 30FPS) for NTSC compatibility. There's no reasonable way for Dolphin force NTSC games to do 50/25 FPS if the game wasn't designed for those frame rates, however.

Ohh ok thanks. I might have to look for the PAL versions of these games then.

So do you know if there are any other options in Dolphin to give you a few extra fps then from your experience ?

That doesn't improve framerate or performance at all, all it does is blend audio stutter from running at lower framerates. It does improve the experience when not reaching fullspeed, but it doesn't improve performance at all.

You are CPU bottlenecked, not GPU bottlenecked.

There is no magic "go faster" button. Dolphin ships by default with the fastest settings, and then we override those fastest settings on a game by game basis with more accurate features if a game needs it. The only "speed hack" that you might be able to use to get some extra performance would be to use the CPU Clock Override to downclock the emulated wii. It's not magic, it can cause bugs and performance issues on its own, but since you are CPU bound it may help you. But again, it causes bugs, use it carefully!

Ahh ok, I didnt know the Shields cpu is not very good , thats why it has trouble running alot of wii games and Gamecube games full speed ? So if you were to compare it to something what would you compare it to, maybe a old Galxy phone or something or worse ?

So the best thing i can do is get all Pal games if possible because they run at 50hz and less frames thst way ?

It's not so much that the Shield TV CPU isn't very good, but it's very old by tech standards. It's not very good compared to newer SoCs.

Unfortunately it's the only user accessible SoC these days with an nvidia GPU, which is the best case for mobile.

What about is there a way to save settings for each game, save changing them and trying to remember them all the time, or will someone ever make one ?

And are there save states in this emulator ? I cant seem to find any.

Also, alls i need is about 5-10 frames increas per game and nearly all of them would be running perfect. I wish there was a way to increase them somehow, because Nvidia shield tv is just so convenient. Its small plugs straight into your tv and so easy to use.

It would be the perfect emulator box if it could run these Gamecube games a bit faster. It runs every other emulator great accept for ps2 and Wii, which dont bother me.

You can savestate ingame by swiping down and it's in the three dots button to the right. You can also try cpu overclocking in the options. I usually set a game that needs it between 100 and 110. There's also a hacks option and I usually tick all the boxes first and let that be s starting point. And I set Shader compilation mode to Asynchronous (ubershaders) but skip drawing can be faster in the gfx option. Other than that just look at the wiki per game and mess with the options. You'll find a sweet spot.

Awesome man thanks for the tips. Do you know what this one does by any chance ?  SKIP EFB ACCESS FROM CPU and DEFER EFB COPIES TO RAM, says may result in faster performance, so im trying that one see if it helps, but most things i touch dont give me any framerate increases which suck.

At least i can keep the resolution ar 2x, looks so much better then 1x as 1x doesnt make any difference for me

Also, i thought if if you speed up the emulated cpu speed its worse, i thought you had to decrease it to give you better fps ? Maybe im doing it wrong or something ? I put Emulated CPU CLOCK SPEED TO 90% and speed limit at 100%

Also which device do you have to play these on, sounds like a similar one to mine. If so, would be cool if we could compare all games weve tried to get a good list going of what works well and what doesnt for wii and gamecube as i cant get any wii games working well, but only tried like 5 and Naruto was the best one but still kind of ran slow.
