title

I'm currently playing twilight princess gamecube on this emulator , and whenever it gets into the more high textured areas , it slows down a lot. At this point, whenever I run the game and load my savestate, the screen goes translucent white and freezes within seconds. It takes a good five minutes to actually let me close it, and the whole emulator is frozen so I have to revert back to my previous save state. Is this a common problem?

There is a game patch that helps Hyrule Field run much faster, is this where you are having slowdowns? Also, I would highly recommend against relying on savestates over normal in-game saves.

more having issues in the forest on the way there, the rest of the game previously ran surprisingly well. However I'll look into the patch. Thank you!!

as for the latter, I quite dislike relying on savestates. However I'm assuming just due to this version of the game it wont let me save without a gamecube memory card which is impossible to have on a laptop.

Again, thank you so much.

You can save to a virtual GameCube memory card on any device as long as you have it enabled in Dolphin's settings. But if you've already started playing the game without a memory card it might be too late...
