Are open box items good buys?

But now I'm curious: Are open box items a good buy? I would like some help. Thank you.

They are hit and miss. They can have everything or be missing something. I personally would not buy a big ticket item open box.

my desktop used to be one of the PCs on display for a computer store. we got it for £300 cheaper because it wasn't in a box

i just formatted it and it was good to go

Depends where it's from. I've bought a couple of open box items from Newegg, and haven't had any major problems with them.

Got over $400 worth of speakers for $90 on ebay a month ago, it made me smile.
