I have a Mayflash Dolphinbar that used to work great, but I just had some issues using it just now. Sensor seemed really weak and I had to be within about 6in. for it to pick up my Wiimote, and even when it did it was all jittery.

I snapped a quick pic of the LED's with my phone camera, can anyone tell their status? http://imgur.com/a/dwZEt

If they're burnt out, what can I do? Just buy another?

On a related note, anyone have luck with emulating a Wiimote using mouse+keyboard for Metroid Prime Trilogy? What button mappings seem to work best?

Yes, there are some burnt LEDs on your Dolphin Bar. Unfortunately MayFlash Dolphin Bar is known to overpower their IR LEDs and so they eventually burn. You can easily replace the burnt LEDs yourself if you have basic soldering skills...

Yeah I actually saw a nice step-by-step process on reddit on replacing dolphinbar LEDs, but I sadly have no soldering skills whatsoever. Well I suppose I could just buy a new one if I really need it, they're not that expensive! For now using mouse+keyboard seems to work decently for emulating Wiimotes.

Thanks for the conclusive info my friend!

If you buy a new one, make sure to install the latest firmware and only power on your wiimotes when you use them. That way the IR LEDs will only be on, while you actually use them.

Yeah I'll definitely make that a priority! I read about that firmware update last night when I was having issues. Sadly I must have never realized it back when the update became available...oh well!

Be aware that the "fix" provided by the latest Dolphin Bar firmware is more of a workaround than a definitive fix; long play sessions can still burn the LEDs eventually...
