Are inactive forum accounts deleted?

Are forum accounts deleted if the user doesn't log in for a long time?

Here's a post I had under my old account:

Yes. Occasionally, inactive accounts with very few posts are mass-deleted.

If I recall correctly, it's an auto-pruning feature of the forums. We can (and have if I remember) increased the delay between inactivity and auto-deletion. Certain people with on-again, off-again activity kept having their accounts erased

Yep yep! We just recently increased it from 1 year of inactivity to 2 years.
