Hi there,

I'm new to Dolphin and i'm impressed by the quality of this software !
I would like to play games with a Wiimote. Before I buy one, i would like to know if it will work.

I've read tons of things about wiimote native support but it seems it really depends on the version of Dolphin we use.
Does last version (4) of Dolphin natively support officials Wiimotes ?
Is it "plug and play" ?
What about the Wiimote motion plus?
Are all wiimotes supported ? What about other brands than Nintendo ?

Many thanks !

PS : My computer has a built in bluetooth dongle, is running Win7x64.

I hope you will forgive my bad english, i'm french

Wiimotes with Wiimotion plus require specific bluetooth dongles that support Toshiba Bluetooth stack due to MSBluetooth stack sucking; unless you're not using windows then you're fine.

Dolphin supports all first party wiimotes to my knowledge, and I've seen some third party remotes work, and some not. It's very simple to use real wiimotes and they work wonderfully in my experience. Motion Plus also works well; though sometimes it can be a pain in the ass to get some games to detect it being plugged in (in my experience, at least. Other people report no problems.)

Thanks !
Not sure to understand :
"Wiimotes with Wiimotion plus require specific bluetooth dongles that support Toshiba Bluetooth stack due to MSBluetooth stack sucking; unless you're not using windows then you're fine."
Are you talking about specific hardware required on my pc if I use Windows ?
Or just a software ?
How to check if my current bluetooth dongle support "Toshiba BT Stack" ?

Thanks

It is just software, and the only way to find out if it works would be to test it I guess, loo here for more info:
