AR Codes not working

I recently started using dolphin simulator alot more but when I activate AR codes it doesnt seem to affect the game at all. so far i`ve only tried it with melee and the unlock all characters and stages code.

Do you have "Enable Cheats" turned on in the first tab of Config?
