Some AR codes are like that. Dolphin is not completely accurate in some regards, so some cheats simply don't work (AR and Gecko codes). Some games like to crash the emulator with cheats as well. This is something that has been around for years, so for now we have to deal with these kinds of issues.
You could always try to make your own cheats; there's a chance they might be compatible with Dolphin in its current state, although it would involve a fair amount of work/research.
