Has anyone tried the bongo controller for DK Jungle Beat or Donkey Konga with Dolphin?

I'm thinking of scouring the used shops for one.

So I guess I need to bite the bullet and report back.

If i was gonna make an assumption, it will function like a GC controller, so if you have the connector for that set up it will probably work.

I'll get around to buying one and posting the results.

I live in Tokyo, though, and may have to curb unnecessary purchases and traveling for the time being.

Ugh.

I tried it using the 3 in 1 magic joy box, but I couldn't get the gcpad to recognize the clapping.:/ Both bongos and the start button work though from what I remember. Note this was done on OS X. I'll probably try it again once I get windows running on my machine.
I am running dolphin on a 2010 21.5" iMac using Windows 7 x64 (Intel Core i3 540 @ 3.07 GHz, ATI Radeon 4670, 4Gb DDR3 1333MHz)

I'm using a homemade adapter (not by me), but it seems remarkably good in a lot of ways (for example you can use an N64 Hori Mini Pad, which isn't true of the Joy Box or most other commercial adapters, as well as a rumble pak for the original N64 controller). So we'll see.

As I said, I'm not going to make unnecessary trips at the moment out of radiation concerns, and anyway a lot of Tokyo stores have limited hours right now, so it'll have to wait a bit before I report back.

If it DOES work, I'll post information about the guy who made the adapter.

Went out and got one for a mere 800 yen in Akiba.

Verdict: as the poster above said, the clap sensor isn't recognized.

This is unfortunate, because you have to clap just to start DK Jungle Beat.

In Donkey Konga, the select screen seems to go crazy with the bongo plugged in.

I'll suggest this in the General forum, but the Dolphin developers should add a bongo attachment in the same way that the nunchuck etc are selected in the Wii configuration menu.
