I was curious about seeing if the touchpad could be used by the PC and then in turn by Dolphin. I imagine using it as a Wii Remote cursor function.
It's just an idea.

Anyone here have a PS4 controller? Can that touchpad be manipulated by the PC?

Right now, the only feature of the touch that can be used in a computer is a touch "tap", that can be mapped as a button

Someone's started getting it working on PC, if anyone does have a DS4 try it out and report back: PS4PC
There is also a XInput wrapper in the works too. If someone got sixaxis working, and/or even move tracking, it'd be a damn nice replacement for wii controls. 12-11-2013, 02:52 PM
I don't know. The thing is so small (about 2.1" x 1") that I doubt it will work that well for cursor/Wii remote movement. I don't even like touchpads on laptops for gaming; that one is less than half the size AND you'll be using your thumb instead of your index finger.
How are PS4 games using it? It seems like it could work well for simple gestures, like swiping left to right or making circular motions. |
