I ask this because I have built it in Linux MINT debian Edition 64, and can't get it to load the games. Program builds and loads, yes, but it fails to initialize graphics.
Anybody using it in Debian 64bit?

Does your GPU support OpenGL, is it updated and is it selected in Dolphin? I've only tried Ubuntu so far.

I am currently using Ubuntu, but I have used dolphin in Debian before. I just added the glennric PPA to the software sources and it worked fine. Officially, Ubuntu repositories aren't compatible with Debian, but I've had good luck with them so far. Mint might be a different story though. Post your specs. It might just be a hardware problem.

Why wouldn't you build yourself? It's easy and is more recent than glennric's repos.

That kind of issue is unlikely to arise from build issues anyway.
How exactly does it fail to "initialize graphics"? (i.e. error message or sth?) Please tell us which GPU and GPU driver you're using. EDIT: Oh well, just saw your other thread. You generally shouldn't post two threads for the same issue (although I kinda understand it in this case, but linux problems don't really get any helpful advice around here) |
