I've seen that one on GFXbench, little to no chance ARM fixed shaders

I think the shader issue is related to rom and not mall drivers.

Bcause I tested cm13 and lineage 14.1 in my s6 edge Both rom used Mali drivers r7p0 and working perfect no shader issue.

Does the Galaxy version even have sound? Now odd it is that the nVIDIA Tegra X1 Shield TV, should not.

Yes but marshmallow introduce the bug and comes with r7p0 at least in S6. However work fine in lineage with the same drivers revision
