The board doesn't shut off directly, its most likely - since i don't own this hardware I'm just thinking out loud - that it only appears to shut off. And that is because if the board is in any slot different than no.1, pressing the OK button is going try to enable a LED corresponding to its slot number. For obvious reasons it is impossible to enable a different LED than just LED no.1, since the device only has one LED (I dont think all LEDs no.1-4 get mapped to just LED no.1). The question now remains, is it possible to make the WBB work by just changing to the proper LED or is the issue way less obvious.
I did some small changes, u might try this wiimote_plugin.dll (x64). It should push the balance board into position 4 and at the same time set the led to 1 instead of 4.
