Any difference when using ipl?

I haven't seen much about this nor do I understand it fully. Should I be using my ipl? I assume there's steps somewhere that show me how to get it? Does it affect audio? Gfx, etc??

Basically, recommended or not? Which process would be more buggy? Sorry for all the questions! You don't have to answer all of them. Tongue
