Well its BCD info shows 200 hex and that means its a 2.0 usb device. If you really needed more info about this run usblyzer on it.

Wait, so it's that simple? A little python script is all you need? Or am I just too tired to be reading things correctly?

Huh. Yeah i checked out nindendont and they have the wii u adapter working, so it probably could be done on computer too seeing that they are getting it to work in homebrew on the virtual wii mode which doesn't support any special wii u code running. I'll have to look at this closer later.

Technically it's not "a 0x13 byte", it's a 0x13 output report with no payload.

Toad King just took his previous script and made a linux gamecube adapter python script that i believe makes the gamecube adapter a hid controller. If you have linux you someone should try it, I don't.

This kind of makes me want to buy the adapter, even though I don't have a WiiU (yet). Curious to try it sometime this year.

Yeah, obviously we'll see what happens with it, but it looks very promising that this could be the best gamecube adapter out there. time will tell. i'm glad i got mine, everyone seems to be having an impossible time getting them. I wonder if they thought the demand would be low?

Also on topic the latest revision of nintendon't uses those magic numbers from Toad King's program and i can confirm it works all 4 ports with rumble (though the rumble is a bit buggy it sometimes keeps rumbling). The guy who implemented it doesn't even have a gamecube controller and posted it the forums for us who do to bug test, so I assume it should be equally simple to get dolphin to support the handshake to activate the gamecube controllers.

"r228:
-added init code and rumble support for the wiiu gc adapter, thank you ToadKing for providing the magic numbers and GreyRogue for testing everything out"

It works on Windows now too. A bit of a pain, and it took me three installs before I could get it working because I'm a non-direction-following idiot, and absolutely requires to be calibrated, but now I've got it working, it's great. elmassivo, if you happen to be a member here and see this, great job!
