Dolphin 5.0 stable works flawlessly. Didn't test anything between 5.0 and 3772. 3772 and beyond are broken. Only affects certain games, which I have very few to test. Arc Fantasia is what I'm currently seeing it on. Xenoblade chronicles does not have issues afaik.

Any gecko code, even one that does nothing, will cause the issue.  One or two frames every few second will have a texture/model issue where something explodes across the screen. It stops the moment I disable gecko cheats. Also, I infrequently receive a freeze where the ASM gets stuck in a PPCHalt infinite loop. I can't be sure the freeze happens with null gecko codes, but it does not happen on 5.0 at all.  Not noticing graphic issues with AR codes, not sure if AR ever froze it.

Any ideas on what I can do? If it's just to try different Dolphin builds, maybe someone knows a few that affected Gecko? Also, I'd like to try the oldest, solid, Vulkan build, but don't know which build that is.

/edit It appears CPU clock override may fix some/all of the issues in current builds. 5.0 stable seems to not need it. I'll do a thorough test later.

It is very unlikely to be 5.0-3772, which was a simple cleanup change. If you want to increase the chances of getting this fixed, please bisect and find the actual version that causes these issues to happen.

Since you are on Windows, Helios747's bisect tool is going to be very useful.

Thanks. 615 is fine, then 845 is broken. All the ones between those should have a completely broken gecko. I think the gecko change that happened in 845 is probably it.

Someone said turning off "speed up disc transfer" (SUDT) can reduce PPCHalt crashes, but with both cpu override at 115% and SUDT Off, I still crashed. It's less frequent, so trying a higher cpu override now. Regardless, I played 5.0 stable with no cpu override and SUDT set to On with zero issues.

/edit I'm assuming the texture issue and the PPCHalt crash go together. I would need to run 615 and 845 thoroughly to confirm that though.

/edit2 Quicker than I expected. 845 PPCHalt'd 10 seconds into playing with a null gecko code. 615 hasn't shown any issues, even with my 60 fps gecko code. Let me know if there's anything else I should do.
